Cleaned HFAMM (MAF) and TMAP sensors
Guys,
Just wanted to drop this here. I've been having progressively worse stumbles at idle, and overall the car just didn't feel right. Figured it was time to clean my HFAMM (MAF) sensors. I used the CRC MAF and throttle body cleaner, as it came pretty well recommended on various forums. Cleaning was straight forward: unplug the MAF, remove two torx screws, remove MAF, spray liberally, reinstall MAF. Repeat on the other side. It helped a lot, but I have a large aerosol can that I needed to put to use, so I cleaned the TMAP sensors on the front of the intercoolers as well. After that it was a noticeable difference. The way I drive fuel economy won't improve, but boy it feels refreshed. Getting the TMAP sensors out is kind of a pain, mainly because it's tight there at the bottom of the intercoolers. I removed the radiator supports/strut bars and the plastic air ducts that go to the front of the car. Same thing though, unplug them and remove the two torx screws to get each sensor out. Careful on the way out and in, to avoid damaging the o-ring. If that fails you'll have a boost leak on that side. Hope this helps someone, it was easy to do. My intakes have been in and out so many times it's really easy to disassemble, but in any case you should be able to clean and reinstall all four sensors in under an hour. - Grant

I'm experiencing the same, a slight unstable idle at times. I know where the maf is don't know where the tmaps are.

sounds like what I am dealing with. My car threw a fault code, apparently 2 of them were fried. I still have a slight shutter, so I'll check the other two sensors.
