Ok thanks, I'll give that a go.

I can only dream about such speeds here.

3mb is good given where we live, only 3 houses on the road and 6km from the exchange

Says it costs £69.95 on the BMW connected website linked to earlier....

I am downloading them from elsewhere. Not sure if I need a FSC code on my Nov 2014 Build 535?

EDIT: IF that includes the FSC code and updates for three years then I suppose that's not too bad.

If you have pro Nav it's free otherwise I think you have to pay

Did you log in first so they know your car?

I have pro-nav and it's not free. It's 69.95 for 2 years which I think is pretty good. It's basically the same sort of price as buying knock-off versions. Maybe BMW have finally realised that people are happy to pay reasonable prices.

Yes you should get 3 years free with all Pro Nav systems for all features such as concierge etc.

Have you logged into BMW Connected Drive

2015 cars onwards have 3 months free maps, the earlier ones sadly do not.

Same with me on my Nov 2014 Pro-Nav build car. BMW connected recognizes my car and I have three years of stuff from Nov 2014 (ie until end Nov this year). However, looks like I have to pay for maps.

£69.95 does not look too bad.

How much would the FSC cost if I downloaded maps form elsewhere and needed an FSC? For 69.95 I'm thinking might as well be pukka and get them from BMW...

I got a lifetime FSC for £20 on eBay.....just download the maps when they become available and good to go.

The map sources are "pukka", it is just BMW UK who are slow to put them up!!

Installed all ok. Took about 50 minutes on a motorway trip with all functions working except a brief reboot of Nav near end.

Even if you stop it remembers where it was. I used a 128Gb USB stick.

The download said 29GB so yours truly went and bought a 32GB stick. Unbeknown to me, you only get circa 28 GB free space on a 32 GB stick!

I eventually got there with a 64GB stick and it took about 40mins to download to car.

Think I need to sign up for a computing night class...

Seller I used doesn't seem to be active any longer.

Search for NBT lifetime FSC on eBay brings up plenty of others though.
