2011 550i / JB4 / K&N Filters / Custom Scoops / Shteigen Exhaust DYNO
Wanted to post the results of my recent dyno on my 2011 550i.
Car has the following mods: JB4 (stage 2...had it set at 2+ for the aggressive setting and that was causing misfire codes and other issues-DRIVETRAIN MALFUNCTION light would come on, I would have to pull over and turn it off and turn back on to run normal). Custom K&N Filters cut to fit stock airbox (made by BadBlack550xi) Custom Air Scoops (made by BadBlack550xi) Shteigen Rumblur Cat-Back Exhaust (LOVE this exhaust, compliments daily on it) best $2k ever spent H&R lowering springs and a DINAN SHOCKWARE suspension tune(day and night difference) almost no body roll now. The car is an absolute animal, and the dyno chart proves that. Taking it to the track soon to get some trap speeds down. To anybody considering the JB4 on their 550i, it is an absolute MUST. It woke the car up 250% and pins you to the seat HARD when the boost hits. Last edited by BurgerStageTwo550; 06-04-2015 at 10:01 PM.. |

Congrats.v Solid!!
Pretty good numbers without down-pipes I have an N63tu(2014 and with JB cranked with just (Badblack filters I managed to push through 480/540 On a dyno jet. Considering that my JB was cranked comparable to a stage 2 for the non TU it makes sense. Now put some down-pipes and let the torque rain!! with stage 2 runing RIGHT. i can see 470-480Whp and low 500s torque. |

Thank you for sharing, i wish you had a baseline dyno.
We might do a group buy on this exhaust. Anyone interested?

Feedback i heard from customers is that it is an amazing exhaust. If we can get 5 to jump in, i will talk to the manufacturer and get them a really good price.

Congrats on the results! What do you mean by BMS 1.5? Are using stage 1 with aggressive settings? Can you Share your settings? Thanks! |

i found BMS stage 2 not quite ready for prime time on the 550 for me so I dialed mine back to stage 1. I had two separate incidents of coil failures, and removing the tune to take it back and forth to the dealership was causing those pins/connectors to get damaged to the point I was worried I wouldn't be able seat the connections again. I don't think stage 2 is appropriate for the casual enthusiast such as me.

If you have an issue significant enough to go to dealer put stock back on and take it in. I don't care for free oil changes so I pay for that out of pocket. But regardless, I have connections w/bmw so It doesn't matter to me I can take my car in the way it is and I'll have no issues. IMO worth it, sure its not as convenient if you have issues. But driving car around for years w/out that sound wouldn't work for me personally. Go to Mike's website http://www.x-ph.com/evolution-racewe...ceted_search=0 There is a video of my car on it where u can hear the magic. That was stock exhaust w/catless.
