2011 535i Pneumatic Wastegate tuning options.
Good afternoon, I have a 2011 535i Xdrive, with the Pneumatic wastegate. I was entertaining an ECU reflash or piggyback, leaning toward Dinantronics. This was until I was informed Dinan does not support cars using the Pneumatic wastegate. I have not been able to see if Dinan has an old controller for the PWG cars. Does anyone have any suggestions or knowledge on the topic of the PWG cars?
Cheers! -Mike |

MHD and BM3 both support PWG for tuning.

Most flash tune development is obviously on the newer engines, but several major updates have dropped which have enabled customization features which I have enjoyed (setting coolant temperature targets, using the steering wheel controls to change maps etc...) To my knowledge, no issues have been created by MHD. I am not in the "gained" power very often. I am, however, always enjoying the options which can be set (like linear throttle pedal response). I don't think I would bother considering anything but an ECU reflash in 2024. |

I agree with Surly! I too have a PWG N55 and when I began tuning I went for the JB4. It worked well for me, but it is limited in the options. Knowing I would eventually go custom tuning with it, I sold it and went to MHD flash tuning. That was 4 yrs ago and zero regrets.
