CF Rear Diffuser WITHOUT quad exhaust

I've scoured google and I can't find any pictures (perhaps for good reason) of a carbon fiber diffuser that doesn't have quad exhaust tips. I personally would like to keep my dual exhaust tips as-is from my M-Performance exhaust. However noone seems to make a CF diffuser with cutouts for only a dual exhaust tip.

Has anyone installed a CF diffuser without adding quad tips? Any pictures out there? I'm sure it may not look as good... but I'm hoping it would still look decent.

How about one of these two?

The first one there looked pretty hot.

Ugh. I give up. Just got the diffuser and tried to install it. The tabs don't hold and it pops out at the sides. This is the second one/second vendor I've tried. I don't think I'm meant to have a diffuser.

Edit: Alternatively, is there a way anyone can think of to mount this? Shop said I can't really use double sided tape because of how it aligns with the bumper and that the only thing I could use is silicone, which would be a permanent bond.

here's what some of us forum members did with tabs that don't hold and keep popping out but i ended up doing this on all tabs just to be safe. i got this idea from another member here and this problem is just not in the F10 forum but i've seen it done on the other BMW forums where the diffuser just doesn't seem to hold. but drill a hole and use a screw to thread into it thus keeping the tab from pulling through the slot/slit. just be very careful when you drill as you don't have much of a tab to work with and you can break them by accident. still sitting in my garage but after i get the bumper painted jet black i will go back and use sealant to fill between the diffuser and bumper to give it a cleaner seamless look. plus the sealer will give it some extra hold there just in case say the screws break

I'm guessing you did something similar to this?

I wish I had a garage and tools to do this... I don't have the means to pop off my whole bumper. I'm going to try a different shop to see if this is something they can do. Thanks for the suggestion bro!!

Went down to 168motoring and Kevin helped me out with the install and did a great job without the use of any permanent bond and only screws. Had an awesome 1+ hr conversation about cars while waiting too. I'm looking forward to having more work done there in the future.

Looks great, glad you got it figured out. I used the screw method as well for a few clips on my replica diffuser, as mine came with a few flat tabs that actually had no raised clip at all

Looks pretty good. I was debating a quad exahaust but I'm thinking now I'm just going to get this one. Is there anything special or tips that you know for installing at home? I'm going to order it whenever they get stock again

pray that you get working tabs. If you do, it's literally as easy as pulling off the OEM diffuser and popping the new one on. If not, you'll have to remove the bumper and use small screws to hold the diffuser to the bumper. I couldn't do this at home, but a shop did it for me for a reasonable price.

Not really. The only diffuser I've seen for the non M like mine is the Hamann. But you would have to cut your bumper to make this work. So for me I opted to get a MSport rear bumper which than gives you a lot more options as far as diffusers go

I was about to order but they are out of stock so I sent them a message and hopefully they'll respond soon. I'll end up taking it to a body shop to get help with it. Thanks again for asking the question.

Hopefully they'll have it again soon. And maybe the next batch they have will have all working tabs

The one I was going to buy says that have one in stock. But since I didn't want to wait, I ended up getting the one with room for quad tips and got M5 Mufflers to match.

The one I was going to buy: https://www.ebay.com/itm/2011-2016-B...9XbZ6o&vxp=mtr
