EDC Delete question
A few question for those of you that are running KW coilovers with the EDC delete module.
1. Does is completely disable the EDC control inside the car? Reason I am asking is that EDC control has several settings, most of them suspension related. However there are 2 which are not completely just suspension related. Sprots + which I use a lot and ECO. I'm considering going the coilover route but did not want to lose those functions. Seems like my car is fastest when i have it in sports mode, manual, with sports + activated using the EDC module. 2. Instead of using the edc delete, can you have it coded to remove any errors thrown. Is this a better option? Any info on this will be appreciated. Thanks! |

I don't have EDC, but I'd assume the EDC delete module only eliminate the error codes, and not the actual functions of the EDC buttons in the car.

I inquired about the KW V1's and they said I needed the EDC module even tho I don't. Have EDC to eliminate the error codes that will pop up.

Its my main concern as well. Sport and sport plus mode does give better throttle response as compared to comfort mode with traction off and and manual/sport shifting.
I highly doubt the functions are retained because I believe the EDC control is disconnected when the shocks are replaced. |

Back about 6-7 months ago when I was contemplating getting these same coilovers, a rep from KW said I wouldn't be able to run these at all.
That's why I had to opt for the H&Rs. |

Thanks for the feedback. I currently have H&Rs and it looks like I might have to stick with it. Wish they offered a sleeve kit that utilized the stock shocks. |

You don't. I don't have EDC and I've got KWv3 without the module.

Just a quick update on this thread. I ended up installing the KWv2s with the EDC delete module.
I am happy to report that the edc control in the car is still fully functional and I am still able to switch between all the modes with no issue. The sports + and ECO mode still are functional for the drive trian and traction control options . The only thing that obviously will not work is the Electronic dampening. |
