Mhd n55 tune

Have any of you guys been following the n55 e series thread. Mhd who has been doing great things on the n54 platform is now going to support all n55 enigines. I talked to ken at wedgeperformance who does tuning for them and we would have to remove our ecu and get it unlocked and then do remote flash. Kind of like what mission does. I'm glad to see another tune flash that will be available for our f10 n55 soon.

@FSociety that sucks. From what ken told me it would work on all n55 but if you confirmed with mhd then I guess your right. The the dme on my f10 is actually medv172 which technically is tuneable. I was even told by Cobb that since I have that dme I could have flashed my car. But then another person at Cobb told me I couldn't. Looks like Mission is my best best most likely. Only thing that sucks is I'm in Chicago

@vivanapoli806 I've been following the posts and I've also reached out to them. Their target release for our cars is early 2017. I think their beta testing may start within the next month our so

Update...

proTUNING Freaks has been working weeks after weeks, around the clock on most of the N55 models, the wait is/was worth it. You guys will be extremely happy as things continue being developed (App) and features, the best tuning (Powerful but also within healthy measurements) is Bootmod3.

Is it going to be similar to Bootmod where user has some kind of control?

Negative, MHD won't be pursuing Fxx N55
It's a whole, new , different world compared to what they're use to in the Exx N54 and their Beta Ex N55

FSociety i know about people flashing with MHD on the n54 platform. Not sure how I missed that during my ownership of the n54. I was on the JB4 train like most people. Can you enlighten me a little more on the mhd option? Is it something that you stack on other tunes or can you run it by itself? Its free?

MHD only exist for Exx N54 and now testing Exx N55 (dont know anyone personally) but my friend with Exx X1 FBO inquired and got a big around like they're not ready yet. Thats all I know at this point

I am working with ProTUNINGFreaks via their BootMod3 Fxx Platform and couldnt be happier.

I spoke with Martial from mhd on Facebook and he said they will be doing the F series for mhd. When they are ready they will be releasing info about getting your dme unlocked and everything. So they will be doing it eventually. It's between that and bootmod3. There aren't to many f10 n55's running it though and I would like more info on it. Mostly everything they post is for M series cars running it.

Don't hold your breathe in F series from MHD, here's why...
- They still don't have any Exx N55 cars with proven results or out of beta, still a lot of N55 waiting on getting dme unlocked.
- You'll need jb4 most likely in order to run MHD

I'm all for Bootmod3 because I'm living it
It can be run as only flash, can be ran as Backend flash, features are growing each update & the support team is in a league of its own. Trust me I've spoken and exchanged emails with about 15 possible tuners in the last 2yrs.

While MHD is definitely in beta, and a large cross section of N55s will require bench flashes, it's misleading to say that there aren't proven results or that users will need a JB4. The OTS maps on the N55 have progressed very quickly, and by all appearances appear to be bulletproof. The one code that kept popping up for people has been sorted, logs have looked good (though a bit modest on the power end of things, offset by how smooth people find it). For stock turbo cars, MHD already appears to be better than Cobb.

Where there are still questions is with regards to PS1 and PS2 cars, which can't seem to hold as much boost to redline as a JB4/MHD stacked solution. Some DCT cars don't seem 100% yet, but it appears to be getting close, and this despite MHD being in beta. So still plenty of work to be done on the platform, but saying there aren't any proven results is...

That said, I'm just happy the N55 is getting some reliable love. Between MHD, BM3, and of course the JB4, there's an option out there for everyone. Think we all win in that respect.

Show me N55 F-series MHD dyno ?

I can show you F80 s55, F10 M5/M6 s63tu, F30 335, F22 m235 Dyno's and cars running BootMod3 at least

I also know PS1/PS2 cars on BM3 holding boost to redline, stock turbo world record N55 just hit under BootMod3 20-21psi with Meth 446/571 in a 335 F30 Auto in Miami.

I agree plenty of work to be done on the platform, but I stay firm haven't seen anything on F series N55 from MHD. Btw, I've been testing my 4455lbs X4 N55 against other Flash Tuned N55 cars and JB4, where they are usually 500-900lbs lighter and are not beating

Cheers

You said E-series, above, not F. Not questioning you since there isn't an MHD platform for F-series cars yet. My point was merely that there are results with the E-series MHD platform. Also, I don't doubt that BM3 is epic in a lot of ways, but we're talking E-series on the MHD side, and F-series on the BM3 side. All good...

Yes there's plenty of E with MHD, but I was referring to E-series 2012+ N55 barely any. My friend with E series X1 (N55) still waiting on them for the past months since they announced.

Yeah, sounds like they're having trouble getting a reliable and consistent bench flash process down, but from the sounds of it they're not all that far off. Like anything else, hopefully a matter of time with MHD for the N55.

Am definitely excited to see how BM3 matures over the next year. Really exciting times for the N55. And seeing that a B58 with only a JB4 is good for roughly 370/370 to the wheels...good times ahead!
