I installed the exhaust and first off I have to say fitment on it as per my shop which is very known for these things was a 7 out of 10 at the very best. The sound, it's very VERY. quiet sometimes under high rev u can't even tell the exhaust is there. but it looks great!!! I love the look, so for those who do not want excessive loud noise this is the exhaust for you!!! There is practically no drone in the car whatsoever!!! This exhaust plus cattless downpipes willvbe the perfect mix without drone! I'll post videos when I get a chance all in all I wish it was a bit more aggressive sound wise but for 850$ and the customer service I for from mike at extreme performance, I'm satisfied with it .

I wish somebody would take a chance and put these on a 550i. I'd bet they'd drone like mad.

i installed the Megan Racing Burnt rollled tip exhaust... read the description.

not at all... they have 0 drone believe me I am never biased in my reviews.

That may be true on the 535 but I bet the 550 would be bad.

You're probably right on that until someone takes the leap of faith well never know.

I don't hear any at all. Did u maybe have other mode? Downpipe or resonators removed?

You convinced me, i just ordered the megan exhaust for my 535i. along with the 550 diffuser. Now i'm wondering if I should have gotten the M5 diffuser instead....

M5 looks better, but you'll need to modify the megan exhaust I believe, because the cutouts on the M are closer to the center.

Hmm good observation. I guess i will try both diffusers to see if the M5 one has the openings tighter together and the exhaust has to be modified. I ordered both difussers so i can compare them against each other.

as far as the 528i community, i used the same exhaust on my quad conversion. NO DRONE with this exhaust. i also used 2x resonators just to have that mild sport tone (another option to eliminate drone and rasp). no issues with the M5 diffuser either. here's my thread:
