F10 535 M Sport Spring Question

Do springs wear out and break under normal circumstances? I'm about to replace the struts on my F10 535 M sport and I've never had issues with springs on my other BMWs so I just reuse the originals. I generally only do the struts as I don't do any track days or extremely hard driving on my cars. (getting old)

It can happen but doesn't very often.

Thanks. I'm going to stay with the original springs then. I don't want to change ride height so I'm just going to get new mounts and Bilstein B8s, then reuse all the other parts like I've done in the past. Thanks again

It does happen. I have had to replace broken rear springs on my old e46 and ended using HR lowering springs.

As long as there is no rust on the springs you should be fine... One of my rear springs broke on me due to rust... Other three have 0 rust in it so they working fine.. finger crossed lol.

Thanks. I feel like an old man and don't want my car any lower. I have to drive slow when entering my driveway to prevent the front bumper from rubbing now.
