Customs Clearance after ED

My car is currently sailing in the middle of the Atlantic on the Don Juan. Set to reach Port Hueneme on Aug 26. My dealer is only 10 miles from the port.

Does anybody know how long it will take to clear customs? I did European Delivery in July. I heard ED cars take longer to arrive to the dealer once it hits port. Is this true?

I really hope this is not the case. I am going thru twin turbo V8 withdrawals!!!

My 550i is scheduled to leave Bremerhaven tomorrow (Sunday Aug 14), over a week after I dropped it off at Munich airport. Hoping to have it here in Massachusetts for Labor Day weekend.

BUT, consoling myself with a decent road trip this weekend in my M3 sedan wasn't really all THAT awful. :-)
