I have purchased drilled and slotted rotors (front, rear) for my F10 from R1 concepts. Great service and help for part identification. Whole kit including pads and sensor is 600 $. Can't wait to install them, will report.

All aftermarket replacement rotors are going to be a downgrade. The factory rotors are composite design, aluminum bell/hat with ferrous friction surface. Aftermarket stuff is always one piece cast.
The aluminum bell serves to both reduce unsprung mass, and to limit heat soak to the wheel bearing. Drilled/slotted rotors serve no purpose on 99% of street driven vehicles beyond aesthetics. |

I am all for upgrades, particularly whenever service is needed. Unfortunately everything I have read related to f10 brakes says stick with OEM. R1 has had nothing but negative reviews on our cars (other than the look), which is too bad. The only real upgrade IMO would be going with an M5 set up, but I don't think anyone has done it yet. Maybe we can all pressure lsturbointeg into being the first!

Another option for 535i guys is upgrading to 550i front rotors and calipers. I warped the piss out of my front rotors and debated at length about going M5 retrofit $$$$ or Stoptech kit $$$$ but I ended up going the OEM 550i route as I couldn't justify that particular expenditure on what is ultimately a daily driver. No more warping issues.

Never know with these new cars. My wife's 4Runner needs to be hooked up to a freaking computer to bleed the brakes.
