My new 535xi M-Sport
Space Grey Metallic w/ Black Interior and Anthracite wood. M-Sport, P1, P2, Apps, Split folding seats and Sport transmission w/ Shift panels. The build date was 4/2011. So far I've already had the windows tinted 20%, installed black grills and painted front reflectors. I also had Car Toys build a custom subwoofer box with 2 JL 10W6V2 subs which will be completed later today.. I'll post pics asap. I'm loving this car! Last edited by jdco; 07-27-2011 at 05:14 PM.. |

Nice ride. Space Gray is a great color and looks very aggressive in the M-Sport.

Do you know the electrical detail of the sub box installation? like remote signal for the amplifier and audio signal?
I guess remote might be from a lighter and the audio from the speakers using filter... |

Sorry I do not.. I do know all of the connections were made in the trunk itself - they used a hi lo converter to provide signal to the amplifier; I believe they tapped into the factory amp for signal. The only thing they ran to the front of the car is the amp level knob - it was mounted in the little compartment under the head light controls.

Sweet setup... looks great! How is the sound? Did they do anything to help get the sound into the cabin?
I just got a 2011 F10 and put my JL W7 from my E92 in the trunk. Since there is no fold-down ski pass like the E92, I'm not hearing near the sound I should be hearing. Thanks! |
