2014 US SPEC 535d DEF/DPF delete
I did a search on this for the forums. I keep getting resluts for 335d and the X5D
Anyone do this on a US Spec 535D? and while we are on the topic, what is the interval that I have to keep refilling the adblue fluid? thank you for your guys time.

Quick check - Did you get get an answer somewhere else perhaps?
Hi there,
I am looking at changing DEF to my car (535D 2014) as well. Just checking if you have any tips on fluid, tools and steps. I will be checking steps on ISTA, but hoping to get tips from folks that have done this already. I have seen threads suggesting multiple things, do not fill up completely, flush it before filling it, etc... Trying to find out how to flush it as well. Thanks for your time either way. Cheers FA. |

2014 US SPEC 535d DEF/DPF delete
Been a lurker but decided to actually register.
When I take my time and properly fill the tank it will last me between oil changes, about 10,000 miles. As far as the DEF / DPF delete, I have been researching it...especially since I now have a DEF related error (incorrect diesel exhaust fluid added) and facing 200 miles until no restart. My thoughts are if it's going to be expensive to fix I may as well pull the trigger. My concern is there is an active recall for the EGR cooler and doing the delete could void it, imo. I'll probably have to pay to fix the code and do the recall before I can make any mods. Something to think about. With a standard re-tune after the delete (stage 1), I believe you can expect about 2-3 mpg, 60hp and 100 lb-ft torque increase. A stage 2 will get you more, neither will pass emissions. I have been talking to a shop in Nashville, Tn (100 mi away from me) called German Motor Works. The have a great reputation and several locations. Give them a call, they seemed very knowledgeable and can do the work. Hope this helps, OS2 Bone Stock 2014 535DX Last edited by Old School 2; 03-24-2019 at 12:15 PM.. |
