Alcantara headlining (pics)

For the benefit of MikeGR and anyone else interested in what the alcantara headlining looks like, I've posted up some pictures.
Its not the easiest part of the car to photograph so hopefully you'll get the idea from these. I've over exposed teh shots a bit so you can see more detail but in reality this is teh same colour as the normal anthracite headling.
Of course what I can't convey is the feel of it, its generally regarded as feeling like suede.

This isn't cheap and fro mmemory its £895 with the msport package more if you specify a SE spec car. Other colours are available but not sure if cost is different.

You get the obvious headlining but this also includes A, B and C pillars, visors and rear parcel shelf.

In my opinion it looks much better than stock which I felt was a let down compared to my previous E39. Those of you had a E39 will perhaps know what I mean.

I don't believe many cars have option and as for seeing one in a dealers, Id expect the mostly likely option will be to look at a M5 which I think (may be wrong on this) have this as standard?

That is nice, I agree with you on the stock headliner, its not on par with the rest of the car. So for 895 quid you get the headliner, a pillar, b pillar, rear shelf and sunvisors? You have part numbers?

Thanks for sharing.

Only part number I know is 776 (I think) , its an optional extra from the bmw individual range. So specify at order time
In the uk this listed as an option and was not hidden away anywhere

Looks sweet! I wonder how much it would cost to retrofit this.
