Well because et20 is a bit too aggressive I would say that et35 is best then you can add a small spacer (unless you go the custom route).
You want to be around the following sizes for a nice flush fitment: 20x8.5 et25 (basically a 35 with a 10mm spacer) 20x9.5 et30 (basically a 35 with a 5mm spacer) |

et 20 is a bit low for our cars.
also depends on the width of the wheels. et 20 on a 9.5 will stick out on the rear for sure like what wheeladdicts said, et35 is safe wont stick out and wont have rubbing issues although u might need spacers for the front coz they will stick in alot!

New to site. Just got a 2011 528i and am looking to get some staggered 19" M5 wheels with
255/40/19 Front and 285/35/19 Rear tires. Will everything fit properly? Thanks |
