F10 Stage 2 PROBLEM

installed the n55 stage 2 today. The car ran great. Pulled really hard and loved the result.

The issue came after I turned the car off and went back to it 15 minutes later to turn it on. Once I turned it on the start up was rough and I got a drive train malfunction.

Has anyone heard of this issue. And does anyone know what to do. I emailed terry and asked if I can just uninstall the tune but I have a catless downpipe.

I would check to make sure all the connections are still tight. Especially the wires you have to splice into for CANBUS access. Also look at the positive/negative connection to be sure they have a solid clean connection.

Did you also make sure you have the F10 specific firmware? I remember Terry said when you order the jb4 upgrade to make sure you email him to let him know its for a F10.

It's for the F10. The issue might be the CANBUS wires because during install I hand clamped them and then drive around a bit and it worked fine. Then I came home and clamped it with pliers to make sure the clamp closed. That's when the issue came up

Yeah you might not have a clean connection for the canbus wires. Should be a simple fix. Let us know...

Problem solved. CANBUS wires weren't punctured enough. Make sure you cut back some of the wire cover to ensure a good connection. My catless dp CEL is off now too and all the old codes have been automatically cleared. So far I'm very happy

so i have a couple of q's for you bb2405... it sounded like the install was not as easy as stage 1? and did you notice a big difference between stage 1 and 2 as in worth the extra money? I'm also not crazy about spicing some of the original wires, I wounder if Terry will come up with an easier retrofit wiring?

I like it more than stage 1 power wise. But it was more tedious work to install. Apparently there are new clips that will ship with all the new orders so you should be fine.
