AWESOME LINK! Thanks Isturbointeg! I will look at this and maybe purchase.

The F10 is not listed on their website. So I emailed Bimmertech. If they sell it, I will buy it and add to this review.

Bavsound stage 1 upgrade for those with Premium is $837
Bavsound stage 1 upgrade for those with Base is $597

The only way this would make sense is if the end result stage 1s aren't the same; if you start with premium you'll get a better system. Is this correct or am I missing something?

Was targeting an F10 with premium until I stumbled on bavsound... interesting product, and may play into my decision re base vs premium audio.

It would be cool if u can demo them that way u can hear the difference. I'm still sitting on the fence just because there r people who still state it's better but still wish there was a bit more power. Also...Interested in what subs they're coming out with and I have a feeling it's not going to be cheap!

I just leased a '15 F10 with the HK system. I heard the B&O in another car and it sounded pretty good but was not offered in the 535i M Sport with the Mocha interior (that I could find). From what I'm reading the Bavaudio Stage 1 would fit my needs of good clear quality highs and lows, am I correct in this assumption?

So, when I say these speakers sound good, THEY SOUND GREAT! I can now turn this system up to full throttle and not have the highs and mids muffled by the speakers being overwhelmed. I want to replace the subs because I don't thing the OEM subs are to the expectations I would want to hear, but they are sufficient for this system to be 90% of what I want. Maybe 80%.

BavAudio is supposed to come out with a Sub system and I volunteered to be a Beta tester and help design an installation procedure if they would like my help. Being a car guy of 30 years, there really isn't any kind of project I cant do on a car, AND do it better than any shop. lol

I can say this, if you buy these speakers, you wont be disappointed. Honestly, this is the best $700.00 I have spent in a while. Your Jazz stations (if you listen to Jazz) will make the symbols sound crisp and clear and if you put on a dance music station (such as BPM or similar) you will have the thumping through OEM subs to a reasonable satisfaction, and mid to high range that would please the most picky of music listeners. Of course, in my opinion. Plug and play ease of install, LARGE magnets on the speakers for better pull, and very high quality speaker material.

I mean, you hold an OEM speaker in one hand and the BAV in the other, they are Night and day in weight. And if you are sound guy too, you know a quality speaker has some weight to it.

I would seriously like to put up a B&O factory system against this speaker upgrade. I can honestly say, I am completely satisfied with the mid and high sound of my car now, subs are not quite as deep as I would like, but for now, I can live with it.
OP, do you know if the upgrade from base (HiFi) to Stage 1 would be as profound as what you experienced? Fewer speakers, but increasing the speaker count almost never has a benefit on imaging.

I sat in a B&O 550 at a dealership when I was getting a run flat replaced up in Allentown PA. I would say that the BavAudio system is damn close if not equal to the B&O setup, maybe not in overall volume, but in sound quality for sure. Now, the subs are not replaced yet, but the highs of Jazz for symbols and the mids are crystal clear with volume turned all the way up.

U would need to order the technique harness. From what I've read u would disconnect the OEM amp and tie in using the Technique Harness to the MS-8. If you've read up on the MS-8 u know how it goes from there. Bimmertech is stating their after market amp will work with our F10's but they do not have a mounting bracket. That unit does have some good power to it compared to the MS-8 but I think it requires a labtop to set everything up. I'm thinking of going with the MS-8 and run the highs and mids with that but run a monoblock amp thru the MS-8 for my 12" subs.

From all the research I've done if you think your system sounds nice I think with the MS-8 the DSP will make your system even better!

Sale on Bavaudio...

Have you been waiting on a deal on our Stage One kits? Then keep reading...

Every once in a while, we'll have a customer buy a Stage One speaker upgrade kit and then return it for a variety of reasons: it's the wrong kit, they total their car, they have a big bill. You get the idea.

Which is really good news for you.

Because a few times per year, we go through all the returned Stage One Speaker Upgrade kits, test them to make sure they work perfectly, and then recondition them for sale to you!

And now, we're offering our current inventory of "Open Box" Stage One kits to you at 15% off their normal price (since we can't sell them as new.)

You get all the usual good stuff:
Full 4 Year Warranty
100% Satisfaction Guarantee
Amazing sound you've come to expect from Bavsound gear
So what's the catch? None, really. There may be a small mark or two on the speaker packaging or mounting marks on the speakers, or some very minor cosmetic imperfections -- but they are all fully tested and guaranteed to perform and sound amazing, just like any other Stage One you purchase from Bavsound.

You'll never know the difference once they're installed!

Ready to order? Here's what to do:
Have a look at the list below and see if there's a kit available for your BMW.

(If you don't see a kit for your car below, sorry, but it's not available. And no, before you ask, we can't offer open box pricing on a new kit.

Reply to this email and note which kit you'd like to purchase.

Include the following information:

- Your vehicle year, model, body style, and audio system type
- Your phone number
- Your shipping address and billing address (if different)
Once you've replied with the info above, we'll give you a call to finalize payment and get you set up with your purchase!

All prices INCLUDE free FedEx shipping if you're in the U.S. (Sorry, but we're not offering these kits to customers outside the U.S.)

IMPORTANT: These things go fast! We can't guarantee that the kit you want will still be available when you e-mail us, and we'll be offering these first-come, first-served. If you know you want a kit, e-mail us quickly!

Angry BavAuto in the F10 vs Logic 7 in the e60

The best sound I've ever experienced in a car was in my 2008 e60 with the Logic 7 (Harmon Kardon) audio system. It didn't have to play loud to sound wonderful, but it could play loud (at least for the time of release) and still sounded fantastic. I received endless compliments on the system.

When I traded the e60 for an F10 with the premium sound option, I was stupified by the dull audio in the F10. Premium???? Ridiculous. What on earth happened????

Last week I had the BavAuto speaker upgrade kit installed by a professional car audio shop. The sound falls miles short of the e60's Logic 7, but it is obviously better than OEM on most material. However, there are many tracks which I could play before the upgrade -- e.g. Supreme Beings of Leisure's "Ride" -- which are now unlistenable because the bass clips into a boomy mush. This isn't the result others have reported, and I have emailed BavAuto hoping they have a suggestion.

Want to know more about this incredible new upgrade?
Here are its key features:

Jaw-dropping bass response -- Dramatically increases the amount and quality of bass so every aspect of your listening experience is enhanced.

Not only do you get more bass, but you also get more impact and tighter, more controlled bass response, so your music can truly come to life.

We've achieved this through three key technologies: lightweight poly cone, oversized 40mm neodymium magnet, and a massive 50mm voice coil.

100% Plug & Play -- installs and fits just like your factory BMW woofers, right down to the bolts and factory style plug.

Simple, Do-It-Yourself Installation -- takes less than 1 hour and only basic tools, even for a total novice. No complex wiring or additional hardware or installation is required. Simply unbolt your front seats, remove the woofer covers, unbolt your factory woofers, and install ours. That's it!

But if you don't want to do it yourself, one of our Authorized Dealers can perform the installation for you (however, you'll need to purchase the Ghost Underseat Subwoofer Upgrade directly through them at the time of their full release).

Super Tight, Punchy Midbass -- your factory underseat woofers aren't just subwoofers; they're midbass drivers. That means they play not just the lowest frequencies, but also "punchy" midbass frequencies like snare drums and high bass guitar notes.

Unlike our woofers, which are designed to outperform the factory woofers for both subwoofer and midbass frequencies, other underseat subwoofer upgrades on the market are only capable of playing sub frequencies, not midbass, so you miss a huge portion of the frequency range.

Perfectly matched to our legendary Stage One Speaker Upgrade Kit -- Amazing bass response can transform your listening experience, but if you want the absolute best, overall sound quality and clarity matters too.

That's why we engineered the Ghost Underseat Subwoofer Upgrade to perfectly and seamless match our legendary Stage One Speaker Upgrade Kit.

Factory matched impedance -- Depending on your audio system, your factory BMW woofers come in 2, 4, or 7 Ohm impedance. Our woofers are matched to the impedance of your factory woofers (we have different versions for each) to maximize performance and ensure the longevity of your factory amplifier.

Extremely efficient design & power utilization -- We utilize your factory amplifier to generate amazing bass response in your BMW. To do so, we've designed our woofers using technologies like oversized neodymium magnets and lightweight poly cone to maximize every watt of power they generate and translate that into raw output.

That means amazing bass response without replacing your amplifier.

Upgradable design with 100W RMS / 200W Peak Power Handling Per Woofer -- Even though our woofers are designed to be extremely efficient to maximize the output of your factory amplifier, they're also built for upgradability, you can power them with an aftermarket amplifier of your choice up to 100W per channel.

Translation? If you'd like to melt your face off with even more absurd quantities of bass, you can -- just add an amp.
