So first calliper painting today.

I'm using paint from a tin not the traditional spray paint approach.

A bit more time consuming, but hopefully manage to get all areas and no need to do so much masking off of areas.

///M decal was one of many off eBay in the uk.

Ã‚Â£4 for a set of 4. 2 larger ones and 2 smaller ones. But I'm only going to put on front Calipers.

Paint was from a company called Foliatec. I think it's a German company but bought it off amazon. You get cleaner, paint and hardener. Also a wire brush, gloves and mixing stick for Â£27.

Then I bought a seperate can of clear coat VHT for Â£8

@Hasser, I am looking to get this done on my F10, I'm liking what you did there. Just a question, why get the separate can of clear coat? Just for the additional protection and more gloss? I am trying to find the right stuff. I already bought the RS Blue...

It was for a better finish and to seal over the decals.

yes from that seller on ebay.

but there is plenty on the site.

the clear coat also gives paint protection and a good high gloss finish as well as sealing over the decal

hey Hasser, do you know how long drying time took overall per caliper? probably when winter's over this is a project i need to do but wondering how long it took for the coats of paint to dry including the clear coat?
