Hi all.

I'm new here and I would like to learn how things are done. I just bought my second bmw 520d SE (first was 316i). It is used as I can't aford new yet. I'm not sure that I have much extras in my car as I even don't have a sat nav.

After reading thread about coding session from GSPANNU I want some of the stuff on my car as well, but not sure if anything can be done and how to find out what extras my car has.

There are couple things i would like to have.

Sat Nav, but i know i need to buy a new unit for that,

Door unlock when engine switched off
Electric folding mirrors
Electric closing boot
Radio off when door open

I will think of something else.

I think door unlock when switching off and radio off on door open should be possible from what I know.

Electric folding mirrors need to have the actual electric folding mirrors installed, doesn't seem to be installed from what I can see on your list. You would need to retrofit them and then code, not 100% sure if thats do-able.

same goes for electric folding boot. It is an option that needs extra hardware. As far as I know, this is a difficult retrofit, if it is possible at all. I would like this too but looking into fitting it seems to be more hassle than it's worth!

These are the parts that are needed for the electric closing boot. As you can see the list is extensive and that's before even getting to fitting and coding it. It has been done but is very difficult I think.
