^ I haven't, I heard about it when it first came out but never looked into it again.

Does the Escort Live still work with the Beltronics Unit? I know they're a sister company but couldn't find anything on their actual site.

I also wanted to thank you for your knowledge on the Radar Detectors and Laser Jammers. You, along with a few others, have really helped me make a proper decision on what I needed and my insurance premiums and driving record thank you tremendously.

Also, I can't imagine how much better the HP quads are compared to my reg. quads.

Not sure about the HP vs reg. either. Decided to go with quad LI setup from my buddy. $500.

Sorry for the delay.

They are part of the V1 itself. The unit display was disassembled and installed in the mirror. hope that helps.

+1 also for the V1.

I remember reading in Roundel a looooooongggg time ago were they tested a jammer in Ohio. The driver got pulled over by a trooper because it does something to his radar signal. He cited him for no front plate. The transmitter was hidden in the grille.

We did a few custom touches to make it seem even less noticeable. I had my shop near me do the install in Connecticut (High Fidelity Autosport). They fix all the bad dealer installed kits (9500ci) as the dealer's never seem to aim the laser jammers properly. They re-aim and fix the installs for all the high end cars dealerships in our area.

Here's my install:

Front LI Jammer Heads:

Front Beltronics Radar Detector mounted behind center mesh grill:

So for the rear jammer heads, I didn't like how the jammers would be exposed if we just taped them on. So my shop ordered special infrared transmitting plastic to allow the jammer heads to be hidden, but still fully functional. I haven't had any issues with the pods or covers, and it's been a full year or so with them (knock on wood). We'll be doing the same with the front jammers in the kidneys to give the front end a cleaner look.

Close up of rear "pod" or cover.

Both pods from a little further away:

And the main control unit was mounted in the dash for easy viewing, and the buttons for the unit are mounted in the ash tray (no picture, but nothing special).

Nice install. How is the reception having the receiver behind the grille that low? When I had my GT-R I placed the receiver behind the honeycomb grille as well but it was much higher. If it's working well for you, I will do the same, I may attach it at the top of the grille to have it a bit higher to pick up warnings earlier.

Thanks.

Another vote for the Valentine 1. A lot of people don't know that you can send them back to be upgraded with the latest software and hardware. Also, I strongly recommend getting the Waze app and getting a windshield mount for your phone on long trips. I drove my two cars 1500 miles from San Antonio, TX to SE Virginia and was never surprised one time to see a cop when the V1 went off. Waze had already tipped me off a half mile prior.
