M Sport Lower Grill

I've noticed some M Sport's have a blocked out center in the lower center grill and others do not. What's the difference? Is it option related?

First picture (white) has the blocked out center.
Second picture does not have the blocked out center.

The blocked out part you are mentioning about is the "active cruise control radar" used along "Active Cruise Control with Stop&Go function" option:
