535d / 535xd
Hi all,
Seems there will be a 535XD in September 2011... I'm just wondering if it's worthwhile to wait till September of just go for the 535D right now... what do you guys think? Pros/Cons? Tx, Tim |

I'm also interested. Now I have old 535d and I'm about to change it for f10.
BUT: wide tires + 240 hp + RWD = problem on a snow and ice. That is why I'm waiting for 535xd. Plz inform if anybody knows something about it.. |

There is a mention of the 530xD in the german pricelist, but no 535xD.
Interesting the 530xD takes less fuel than the 530D. |

535xd on French website
I ordered my car from a dealer near Paris 3 weeks ago.
As he was checking options compatibility before completing the order, he ran into some information about the 535xd just released by BMW. It stated that the new 313CV engine and xDrive version would be available for order starting sept 2011. The good news is that the new engine has lower emissions, so company car tax for french companies is in the lower bracket (less than 150g). I decided to go for this model. He had a manufacturing slot available in september, so I should get the car at some point in October. It was not the case then, but the french BMW site (I guess it's the case for all countries) has been updated with the new information about the engines. |

Not meaning to be rude, but 10 years ago I drove a Audi S3'quattro'. On snowy/icy surfaces I had less traction/accelleration with the S3 on summertyres than my rwd F10 on wintertyres, same conditions.
So, wintertyres on a rwd will help a lot. Cheers Robin |
