Just bought an afe filter and thought it would be a simple drop in process. The air box looks a little more complicated though than I anticipated. Has anyone done this?

Edit: never mind just found this simple diy. Looks like removing the sway bar will gain access to completely separating the filter housing. http://www.carcarekiosk.com/video/20...engine/replace

My Dad wouldn't care for that at all! He'd say "why do you have to take your car apart to get the filter? Our Chevrolet just had one wing nut."

Haha I know but didn't know what else to call it so sway bar sounded better than "random engine connecting bar"

BTW took all of 10min to replace the filter

I replaced the air filter for my F07 and it was a similar setup but without the 'brace bar'. The cabin air filter replacement is more of a pain because you have to get down there and unhook the air bag.
