Cruise Control Stopped working

Hey guys, I was on the highway doing 75 on cruise control when suddenly I get a drivetrain malf, THEN i get a chassis stability something and the car came to a stop, I shut it off completely, Turned it back on and everything was gone and working just fine all power was there like it didn't happen ... When I went to put the Cruise control back on I get a message of Cruise Control Malfunction, but once i restarted the car it went away.
Now whenever I put the Cruise control on it'll work for like 5-20 seconds and it turns off, any ideas before I take it in ? My oem warranty expired

Check fuses?
My E39 the heated seat fuse would blow on occasion, the lights for it would come on for a few seconds then go out.

Still works for like 5-20 seconds then randomly shuts off tho ... if it was a fuse wouldn't it just stop working completely ?

Blows that theory. I was searching on the issue and one possible cause is a slipping clutch.

Alright after searching and reading for a few hours on google and other forums....

It seems to have been related to the JB4, I put it on Map 0 (stock) and it was working for a while, didnt cut of on me, I didnt test it much long since traffic but I'll get with Terry about this.
