H&R vs ACS

I need springs. I can't stand the boat ride anymore,Advice? I am looking for more of a connected to the road feel.
The springs will be complemented with a M5 sway bar of course.

I installed the H&R's on my 2014. Feels a tad firmer, but nothing crazy.
I was actually disappointed with the fact that it wasn't firmer even in Sports +.

Firmer then stock, wish it would of made it even more.
ACS is worst drove friends car, It hardly looked lowered and rode like stock pretty much

I did however like how H&R dropped the car, looks great.

I guess H@R it is. I have had good experiences with previous cars.
I am ordering tomorrow . Rush delivery! I kid you not. I can't stand the Boat feel anymore.
Also, ordering M5 sway bar. I hear it's a game changer with springs upgrade. I will report after installation. Thank you good sir.

ACS all the way! Almost feels like you haven't lowered the car. I had them on my 550 and now have them on my M5. Very compliant. I bought my M5 used that had H&R's and couldn't stand how rough they were. Switched to ACS within a week.

See here is my point of view on what you said.

I dont want my car to feel like it isn't lowered.
I want it to be stiffer and sportier, stock feels like a grandpa car.

And I the % of roughness / stiffness I got from H&R was too small even for my liking. Still felt Near stock. ACS is worse, like you said feels like stock. I hate stock lol

As soon as parts come in I will let you know audio golf. I hope they come in Monday-Tuesday.
The tech informed me that the install takes the Whole day?!.. It's upsetting really. First $450.. He drops it down to $300 and now he says whole day! This is onof the most standard aftermarket installs!

I'm still doing it lol. I will keep you posted audiogolf.

Combat- I'm with you on that. Stock = boat! ..

I'm totally happy with my passive M-sport suspension on my 2014 550i --- way better than the adaptive drive on my 2011 550i. -- Doesn't need lowering and handles like a dream --- just as good as lowered 2011 with ACS springs which were very low by the way. I do hear that the x-drives can't be ordered the the M-suspension which stinks. I just thought a M5 sway bar would make it even better. Thanks.

Tell them you can't wait all day. Mine was done in 4 hours. Try and deal with Joe the owner. The manager Brett can be a scammer sometimes. Their suspension guy does good work tho. Best of luck!

Maybe this is interesting for you guys...

ACS and Eibach are the same springs. ACS is not producing springs by themselves and the papers for both are exactly the same but different Prices. I just ordered Eibach for my F11 its only EUR 120,-- (lowering the car about 25-30mm)

They are sporty but not hard as H&R. btw. H&R and Hartge are also the same springs

They will bring your car down 35mm

I read that Eibach manufactures ACS springs, but the ACS specification for the steel used, and performance, are not the same as for Eibach. When you say that their "papers" are the same, do the papers contain the specifications for the steel and spring performance? I'd bet that these trade secrets are not available to us, unless you happen to have some friends in very nice places!
