Euro spec F10, trunk opens with fob, not switch
My 2012 520d's trunk won't open by the switch near the license plate but will open using the key fob and inside switch. The euro does not have a valet switch and key hole so I'm out of ideas. I was thinking a fuse but since the fob works, its unlikely. Any ideas

What setup do you have for door locks, if first click to open only driver’s door, and a 2nd one for all other doors, this will also apply for the trunk, i.e. need to unlock all doors 1st before you can use the switch.
Annoying for sure as I only click my key fob twice when passengers with me so always on mode 1 only driver’s door open and often I am just using the key fob for the trunk rather than unlock all doors. Of course you can change the setup on the i-drive to unlock all doors including the trunk with one click. |

Euro cars don't have the valet switch inside the car so no glove box switch. Im also set up to open all doors on one press on I-drive. I'm beginning to think thats its a switch or actuator problem.
Anybody know if the trunk has a double lock or something? |

By Valet do you mean the switch to open the boot from the inside, if the case I am afraid you wrong most of my cars had it including my last BMW's, as well as the glove box setup.

The valet switch is the one that locks the trunk from the inside. I think located in the centre console. I do have the switch near the footwell and that works. Only the button on the trunk itself is dead

Sucked it up and decided to open the trunk cover. Just in case anyone encounters this problem, heres how I fixed it. The switch or trunk button is enclosed inside a rubber cover. The rubber cover developed a small tear and because of the tear, it is no longer giving the switch tension to activate the trigger. Put some Power Glue / Krazy Glue and duct tape on the inside and the switch works once again
