M5 Exhaust & Rear Bumper/Diffuser on 550i

Installed an aftermarket M Sport rear bumper w/ an M5 Diffuser & original Exhaust system on a 550i. This exhaust replaced the rear mufflers & rear resonator. Also installed Black Exhaust Tips

Here's the shots from this Saturday after we finished up the 550i

2011 BMW F10 550i (Originally Non M-Sport Executive Package).

It received the following upgrades:
  • OEM M6 Grancoupe 20" Wheels
  • OEM M5 Muffler w/ Resonator Delete
  • M5 Style Diffuser
  • M5 Style Trunk Lip Spoiler
  • Roof Spoiler
  • Full M-Sport Kit (Front, Sides & Rear Bumper)
  • Front Chin Spoiler - Color Coded
  • M-Performance Grilles
  • OEM Color-Coded Front Bumper Reflectors

Wasn't too fun shooting the pics in a near blizzard lol

Nice work! I have a full msport kit going on in the spring and m5 diffuser as well. How much modding did you need to do to fit the m5 diffuser? Car looks great!

If your getting a full M sport kit it should include the rear bumper bracket that replaces the oem piece which would normally need to be cut... In your case it should just be a simply swap.

If getting a M5 diffuser on an OEM M sport vehicle you need to do some trimming off a plastic piece and basic relocating of some sensors if the car is equipped with comfort...

Cool pics, and the wheels looks great on it, any rubbing with that aggressive M6 offset?

Look like you need some snow tires in that weather.

Beautiful car! I like the M6 wheels, in my opinion they are the best looking M wheels in the market.

If you don't mind me asking, how much did you pay for the wheels? Where did you purchase? Thanks

They are def. one of the best looking wheels but not sure where he purchased them. I think he might have bought them directly from the dealer.

Those wheels really look great on the F10. You have one killer winter sled there.

Just to confirm....

It only looks like the oem 550 rear mufflers and center muffler were replaced but the oem 550 resonators which are right after the downpipes were kept in tact. Is that accurate?

Everyone uses different terminology - here is how I understand the oem 550 exhaust per realoem.com

Downpipes with cats, connected to 2 resonators, followed by a single center muffler which combines both pipes into one, and then back out to two rear mufflers.

Not sure why people call that center muffler a resonator.

Am I off base here?

Is he running a square setup of the M6 Gran Coupe front wheels (20x9.5 ET31)?

Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't believe he can fit the rear of a M6 Gran Coupe wheel (20x10.5 ET19) on the F10?
