Scott thanks for the update. I would definitely consider a 2er cg as my next car as the 3 series has gotten too big and keeps getting bigger. Plus a 1er with FWD is an absolute non starter with myself and the enthusiast crowd.

2GC with a six speed row yer own please

Going to come out and say Audi makes shit cars and BMW is almost right there with them. might be time to jump to Lexus, at least they have a more coherent line up.

Please don't base the next 2 series on the ukl (rwd) platform....no fwd and no common parts with "budget" bmws. The F22 is a short F30 and lets put the 2 series on the 35up platform like it is now!

If the 5-door will be a mini 3/5GT then my vote is for a 4-door GC. Ive been waiting for a 2GC.

If the 5-door is more like the 5-door E87, I wouldnt mind a 5-door and would buy that.

To me one (E87) is a hatch and the other (3/5GT) is a station wagon. I would NOT buy a 2GT if it is a mini 3/5GT.

The 4GC to me is like a 5-door not a 4-door as is the 6GC. Id buy the 6 but never the 4.

Id want a true 4-door 2GC and I would buy the M2GC no doubt!

Is that the market, or is it current 3-series customers who don't want to be pushed into larger and more expensive 3-series with each new generation?

I 1- and 2-series drivers I know came from 3-series, though a 4- or 5-door model can change that.

The only decision to be made is to produce the next 2er, immediately..... As in not the next generation but the next model on this current platform!

Absolutely prefer it to be a 4 door sedan but I would be ok with a 5 door design also. The 435/440 GC is actually rather useful. If the styling is on, it won't matter too much about the rear being a trunk or hatch. Some competitors in this segment can't make up their mind either

Just make some already..

Audi (A3) and MB (CLA) are already in the game..

2 series four gran coupe and then M2 gran coupe for the win

Next time I need a 4-cylinder FWD BMW, I will buy a Kia. Their cars look quite good.

Please don't butcher this car like what happened with the 4-series GC. Make it a 4-door please.

FWD has not been decided - yet. Latest rumor is the next 2er will be RWD.

Um. I never asked for a poll.
But for reference there will be more Gran Turismo models.
The 5er GT is part of our luxury strategy so you will see the a progression of the 5er Gran Turismo interior but with added luxury of BMW executive lounge features from the all new 7er.

Leave the hatch back for the 1 series. The 2 series needs 4 doors. Keep it simple BMW.
