328i or used 535 xi?
I live in Canada and i have ordered a 328i sport line. Sadly, variable handing, sport tranny, and sport suspension are not available on this car. It is already fully loaded.
Today i saw a used 2011 535xi 7000 kms fully loaded with m-package; therefore, it has adaptive suspension, 8 speed auto tranny, and everything that comes with m package. Both cars' prices are very close. I am just wondering which one everybody would pick? Need Advice from you guys. Thank you! |

Not even close....the F10.
Do you know what the build date is of the car? Also, what transmission is it, the regular auto or the sport auto? Nontheless, I'd still take the F10. 7000 km's is just warming up. |

Well, this is the F10 forum..... I would pick the F10, you can't go wrong with the M-Sport package. I came from an 2009 E90 328i and I think the F10 is an awesome upgrade. The E90 was a great car, but the 5 series steps it up a notch. The quality and attention to detail is very nice as well as the handling. I was worried that it would feel like driving a boat but much to the contrary.

I went from an E90 to an F10. They're both good cars, but the F10 is a well refined luxury sport sedan; it does everything well. The handling characteristic of the F10 feels like a lighter 3 series, which makes it very unique. Not once do I feel like I'm driving a 2 ton sedan. I haven't driven the new F30 with the N20 motor, but I have driven an F10 with it. The N20 motor is very impressive: tons of torque, excellent fuel economy, and has potential to match the N55's performance with tuning.
At the end of the day, you will be the one driving the car so pick wisely. However, I would pick a used 5 series over a new 3 series any day of the week. Especially an F10 with an M package, no brainer! |

No offense, but you must be doing a lot of drugs if you seriously think that..

Well, I'm just speculating that consumption of mind altering substances is the most likely explanation behind the thought process that leads one to conclude that a full size sedan weighing 4200 lbs could handle "better than pretty much anything" with just a set of coilovers. Either that or our friend rmastale knows a hell of a lot more about vehicle dynamics (not to mention the laws of physics) than the entire BMW engineering department.

F10 all days of the week. The f30 interior feels like a cheap japanese car.
Just start the 535i engine and listen to its song. |

All depends on how much the 2011 F10 535 the dealer is looking for ?
$52,000 range would be more than fair (assuming FULLY loaded with ALL the options ... est. $72,000 MSRP ??). I am guessing the dealer wants $60,000 for it ? If higher, then forget about it. Move on ... |
