No, not all F10s have active steering. It is an added feature. Mine has active steering and I had wheel alignment and tire rotation done (L-R) as recommended by my SA and the cost was around $200.

Man I swear this SA has been in the game for 10 years but isn't bright enough to know active steering is an option.

I change the height on my car all the time (coilovers) and get an alignment done every 3-4 months. It used to be that the independents couldn't do it because of the angle sensors and you had to put a bunch of weight in the trunk of the car while doing the alignment. Now the independents have comparable tools.

I get my alignments (4 wheel) done at a Goodyear place for $79.95. The last BMW dealer I went to couldn't get the rear in spec because of how low I had the car, so the rears chewed out the inside of the tire. It was my choice to be that low, so I chalked it up to having to "pay-to-play". When I put a new set of tires on the car I took it to the Goodyear place and they had no problems getting it in spec. They said there was a bit more adjustment in the suspension but the dealer probably wasn't able to exceed BMWs set limits of adjustment (their words, not mine). I'm no longer having any issues on the rear, so for $80.00 it was a good deal for me.

$600, $350 or even $200.00 seems excessive to me since I no longer use the dealer for alignments. I'm on KWV3 coilovers, non X-Drive, so can't comment on IAS or the other optional suspensions out there.

My alignment from an independent shop was like $115, $125 maybe? And it was pretty jacked up.

That's a lot for just an alignment. Here, even in NYC, i only pay $100 and it's from a very reliable shop that does only alignment work.
