(Deltran) Battery Tender on a new battery--any concerns?

The dealership just replaced my battery and i was planning to keep it hooked up to a trickle charger in between drives since i don't get it out but once a week. Any concerns or advice in just hooking it up to the battery? Any preventative measures or nuances to keep in mind? I haven't had my 550 very long but just want to make sure i'm not doing anything to throw codes or give me issues since i'm learning about the "personalities" of these cars...

Ensure it is connected to under hood terminals and not directly to the battery. It is key to ensure that the charging current flows through the battery monitoring systems in the vehicle and does not bypass them.

It's best if your trickle/float charger has an AGM mode. AGM batteries require higher voltage to FULLY charge. For anyone considering shopping, check out the CTEK MXS 5.0 or the NOCO GENIUS5
