"Check Engine"/Break Pads

Stupid question everyone...
So Ive been getting a service due soon on my dash "Front Brake Pads"
Does this trigger the Check Engine light to come up?
It just appeared this morning.

never mind just found out the code using the Fusion IOS obd2 app
P0456 code

for anyone else, answer is No. CEL and brake system are unrelated

Replace the gas tank cap. 100% sure that's the culprit
