Question Question about replacement tire/wheel sizes for my 2012 535i M Sport

I admit I did not search for this before asking, because I am not sure how to search for it.

Can I install 275/35R20 in front on my 2012 535i M Sport? Here's why I ask... I bought the car used with 18's and horrible aftermarket wheels, one of which is even bent. So my first thought was to go with the 19' OEM's. However, I am also considering two things: (a) going with 20's and (b) using the same size front and rear. I do not want the front size in the rear because the winder rears is one of the best things of the M Sport line. However, will the rear size be too wide for the front?

My other option would go with 275/35R19's for all fours if the 20's don't work.

Once again, sorry if this has been asked and answered before.

275 will be too wide in the front. you can go staggered 20s and get 245F and 275R. i think a lot of ppl are doing 245F and 285R, including myself.

your other options is to go 245/40/19s all around, square wheel setup and put spacers in the rear.

Yes...275 is too wide and I'm not even sure it will fit? Even when I switch to 21×9.5 I'll be on 255's.

Isn't 285R too wide for the rear???

Regarding going 245 all around, wouldn't that sacrifice handling and therefore partially defeat the purpose of getting an M Sport?

285 will fit in the rear. That's what I had on my m5 replica and will be running the same on my new wheels. I'm lowered as well and had no issue. I think 295 will fit in the rear also but the problem is keeping the proper ratio between front and rear on an xdrive.

With regards to the 245, 245/40/19 is what I have on my oem 535i xdrive and what came with the car

There's much more room in the rear for wide tires/wheels. Normally people do 245 or 255 in the front, and 275 to 295 in the rear. I bet you could even fit some 325 in the rear, but I've only seen the M6 guys do 21x12 and 325/25/21.

Will these work?

Wheels: Quantum Verde 20x10.5 (R) and 20x9 (F)
Tires: Hankook Ventus V12 EVO2 285/30R20 (R) and 245/35R20 (F)

Also, they sell matching and installed TPMS for $55 a wheel/tire. That's a total of $220. I can get a full set from hubcaphaven.com for $140. Will these fit those wheels/tires?

Nobody? I'm so ready to pull the plug on this! I just need confirmation from people who know before I purchase something that's not going to work in my car.

Yes, they'll work, ET35 front and ET42 is safe.

I don't know what ET stands for, but "it works" is just what I wanted to "hear". Thanks.

Not a big fan of the design but to his each own. The offset seems too conservative, meaning it will be pushed in the fenders more. I think I have about 25 on my front.

If you like that style you should check out the Vossen line up. They have a cleaner spoke design like the one your chose
