2 weeks ago I just switched my 2013 335i sport line for a 2014 535i M-Sport, what a difference! Oh my God ! Just changed the oil on the 535 and inspected the air filter and found a really dirty air filter, at this time I just put some compressed air and cleaned the air filter and a k&n drop-in air filter is on the way home, I'm not looking for some more performance on my 535, just want to know what do you guys know or think about the k&n drop-in air filter, any good or bad toughts about it? Thanks in advance !

My home boy works for them and he always recommends it. I prefer my cone filter setup but I have an n63. Your motor is different and probably has more options (cost friendly as well)... so I would say look into those. If your not the tuner type then definitely just do drop in filter

I'm located in NYC and I have the BMS intake which IMO is just a winter mod due to the air inlet in the grill, it's like the scoop isn't designed right so there's not enough cool air flowing into the tubing. BMS intake in the summer is just sucking HOT air from engine bay n even feels weird. I just reinstalled the Bms since it's been in the 30-40's.

I think a K&N would be better all around by being inclosed not sucking engine bay heat.. I've been meaning to test out the BMS vs K&N. Can u prove a link for the drop in or a part number? N55.

I'm sure you won't notice anything, Engine will breath better from stock. The BMS intake is a stupid toy to make you feel cool.. it sounds SICK with the hood open n rev'd, with the hood closed you hear a lite roar and alittle spool.
HP gains with BMS are prob ZERO to Negative, remember they test these things with a DYNO FORCED AIR UNIT, not the way the user will use it (hood closed, heat & no forced air)

I'm planning on buying a extra air box cover to Dremel & gut the inside to fit over the BMS n lock it closed
