JB4 Installed on 2011 550i

I mean, wow. What a difference! I had always felt like my car, even in sport mode, was under water. Now, it feels like the car can breathe, like this is how it was supposed to be like from the factory.

Install pretty easy, though the passenger side clip was a tad annoying to get to. M5 body kit on Thursday, and then I am done. (For now.)

Soooooo psyched. Best mod ever.

Yup. Good decision, ultimately. I am never going to find a car optioned like this manual. Pics to come after m5 conversion!

Yes, that is what the JB4 is. BMS tune, Stage 2.

Sorry, stage 1. I might have mixed up my terminology. I hear stage 2 is much better, but for $250 on a used stage 1, I am verrrrry content. If I do anything else, it will be exhaust. Hoping to find an m5 if anyone wants to unload one. Key for me is keeping valves. My e60 550i was way too loud and had drone.

well technically, if you get the updated version of the Stage 1, which would be marked as N63-2 on your box it has the JB4 software

I love my Stage 1, it feels like it belongs !

I love my BMS tune. Showed results within two weeks. So pissed with DINAN, can't believe I repped their name for so long when all I spent $3.5k on hot air and a placebo effect.

The TC light doesn't stop flickering every time I mash the throttle now. Love it so far.

Anyone wanna hook me up with Stage 2, I'm craving it so badly.

For the record, Stage 2 in aggressive mode is absolutely sick. The car is just a blast to drive. The power delivery is very smooth and the pull just seems bottomless. Crazy fun...worth every penny and more.

My only regret is that it's tough to fully utilize the power in NJ without risking serious jail time.

Which M5 body kit are you doing? OE stuff or aftermarket? Ive been looking at some of them but don't want to waste the money if they fit poorly and can't find reviews anywhere.

I went to the Suvneer version, which, as I understand it, is the number one importer and sells to a lot of other vendors. The first set they sent to my auto body shop was apparently bent in transit, and my guy refused to install it. Gary at Suvneer immediately sent a new set, and my guy says they look fine now. He is concerned about fitment (hood), because he typically only does OEM, but everyone I have spoken to is happy with the Suvneer product.

I will post pics next week when it's done! Fingers crossed.

Awesome! If you don't mind and have the time, can you get some close ups of the fenders, headlights, hood etc to show fitment and/or issues? I ran over some road debris and tore up a side skirt so I had planned on doing a M sport front bumper and side skirts but don't feel like paying $3,000 to BMW plus paying a body shop to paint and install.

I bought my BMS Stage 1 kit used from a guy too for $220 shipped. Amazing bang for the buck, this weekend I have to pull it back off. Going in to finish my N63 CCP next Tuesday.
