TPMS question; F10 535i same as E60 535i?
I recently switched from an '08 535i to an '11 535i. My 18" winter wheel/tire combo from the 2008 has great tires, and TPMS, though the wheels need to be replaced (NJ roads were TERRIBLE this year, 2 massive bends that can't be fixed).
I was hoping I could just replace the 18" wheels with something that fits the F10 535i, but reuse my 245/40/18 Wintersport 3Ds and also the TPMS from my 2008 535i. I THINK they are compatible, but can anyone confirm that the TPMS are indeed compatible? I don't think the '08 and '11 use different TPMS sensors in the wheels. Thanks, Kev |

Not compatible, from my experience so far, the only TPMS sensors compatible w/ F10's are F12/F13. I had F30 TPMS sensors on a set of spare wheels and even those didn't register with the car.

That's interesting. I found sellers online and looked up TPMS sensors for both the 2008 535i and the 2011 535i, and the part sold for both cars was identical part numbers. I was hoping they would be compatible.
Appreciate your feedback/experience. I did notice on those same sites that the 2013 535i's showed a different part number and image for the TPMS sensor, as if it changed for MY2013 and above. Kev EDIT: Doing more digging, found sites that show different part numbers for 2006-2010 and 2011-2012, so you might be right...doubt they are compatible Last edited by Force[FED]; 03-11-2014 at 09:02 AM..
