Late Intro - 16 535xi

Sorry for the late intro, I'm Derek and have been a lurker for a bit. After getting my wife the first BMW we have ever owned about 4 months ago, a 16 328xi/Lighting/Nav, I caught the bug. I privately sold my 12 VW GLI 6MT (Bolt-Ons, APR STG 2 v2.0) and started the hunt for an F10. For a while I was focused on a 14-15 550xi after driving one and being blown away by the early power availability. At a dealer in North NJ, I found a loaded 16 550xi demo with every option except Rear Entertainment for a crazy deal, essentially a 90k w/6k demo miles. In the time it took me to call my wife and talk it over with her for 30 minutes, and call the dealer back the car was sold....just like that!! That sucked a bit, so I expanded my search and included a 535xi that matched what I was looking for. Finally, in Cape Cod, I found a Glacier Silver 535xi with Luxury Seating! I left a deposit immediately, signed the paperwork while the family and I were away on vacation in Disney, and once we got back, flew up to pick the car up and drive it back and have been in love ever since!!!

Car has: Black Nappa/Cold Weather/Luxury/Premium/Ceramic Controls/Sunshades/Soft Close Doors/Harman Kardon

This is too funny, let me just say you're lucky I decided to go with a dark color car! I literally almost bought this exact car, but I ended up choosing the space gray/mocha demo car they had at the cape dealership. I was real close, but waited too long as I wasn't sure I wanted silver again. Sales advisor made it clear, if I waited that you would scoop it up. They had some amazing deals on demo cars there huh? But congrats on the purchase, I'm glad I didn't steal this one from you, it's a great car!

That is hilarious, because I was debating to call back about the 535d!! Their demo deals were absolutely crazy. If you had bought this one, probably would have gotten the Mineral Gray 535 they had with lighting. That car stayed parked there for a bit until we figured out the logistics of getting it to me. I told my SA, if you are in the same position with the G30s, we may do the same thing.

Thanks guys! As far as mods go, the JB4 or BMS Stage 1 is stuck in my head, but I don't think I want to do any exhaust mods. I will most likely end up mounting some PS2's on the OEMs next summer, de-badge and maybe an upgraded anti-sway and intake. These run-flats are really unsettling when going over bumpy pavement at highway speeds. So far, I am just enjoying how quiet and smooth the car is, and when I want to have a bit of fun, tighten up the bolsters, crack the windows a bit and put it in sport mode!

I just got a 2016 535i xdrive demo too...I had the dealer CPO mine as part of the negotiation.

Extreme deals out there on F'10 right now.

Thanks! Yea, they replaced the center cap. I was told some kids were going around swiping them off of all the cars on their lot.....sucks.

Yeah the mineral grey was very nice as well, but the one I was trading was that color and I wanted a switch. Ive had the silver too, so I ventured out to space grey! Plus it's my first diesel so I wanted to see how they perform. But the deals were just too good to pass up, I'm glad we both got the cars we wanted, because the 5 series was selling like crazy at that dealership. They make a point there to get cars with great options (tons of msports, etc). I will definitely be going back in 3 years to see what type of deal I can get on the g30, it should be just about ready for the LCI version
