This is about as straightforward as it gets for a DIY.

1. Locate the POS+ remote post under the hood next to passenger side strut tower. It has a hinged red plastic cover protecting it:

2. Flip red cover over and remove 19mm retaining nut. Removal is easiest with an impact wrench. Be careful not to break the black plastic piece under the retaining nut while loosening:

3. Slide POS+ battery tender lead over stud and reinstall the retaining nut. Snap red cover closed:

4. Remove one of the strut retaining bolts and slide the NEG- battery tender lead over the bolt. Reinstall the bolt.

5. Connect the battery tender power supply to the newly installed lead. You are done!
