Missing idrive service history
So it seems a couple of BMW dealers have not updated idrive with all the service. I have paper service hstory but wanted to know, will a BMW dealer update the idrive service history at NO COST. Apparently all service is logged on the central workshop database but it wasnt transferred to the key or idrive at the time.

I noticed that mine was missing a couple of weeks after servicing. When I contacted the dealer they rebooked the car in and did the work free of charge. I wouldn't accept anything less as it's part of the service schedule.

The later systems record the service history in the idrive (date, mileage, work done), which is seperate to he service indicators that have been in place for years.

The service was done by two dealers about 200 miles away. But as the service details are on the workshop database another local dealer could put it on the idrive. But would this be a free of charge service? I could just ask the dealer but it's likely they will just say 'it will cost you'.

So got the car back today and the SA said his tech guy says only cars 2014 and after have this available? The SA is great, very helpful, but i get the feeling it can be done but the tech guy maybe didn't know how?
Any documents or so that i can take to them to prove i can get it? Build date of the F10 is 11/2013 and is an LCI model. I do have the car back in for some more work in 2 weeks and said to the SA to have a look into further. Any tips would be great! |
