Interior Mirror Fault Won't Clear
I have a '13 535 M-Sport and I have been trying to code with Carly but I can't seem to clear the following fault:
C90CA7 K-LIN 3 interior mirror: Wrong version installed The car has a Gentex 026662 mirror that functions normally. Google search doesn't turn up anything on the fault. Any ideas on how to get this to clear? Carly won't let me change any code until the fault is cleared. I have tried looking through RealOEM to find the the right part number but there are too many options. Any help is appreciated! |

New and exciting faults
OK, now I have new faults showing up intermittently.
My saga continues. New and exciting faults showing up now. SOS Malfunction (this will show up and then clear the next day) 801410: Uncoded control unit 801411: Coding does not match the vehicle The car runs and drives great. All of the normal functions work except I have these errors popping up occasionally and I can't recode any "features" on the car. I am close to taking it the dealer and having them try and diagnose the problem. I love the car but my low grade OCD hates having faults even if they don't affect the drivability of the car. |

I haven't looked up the exact numbers, but it sounds like they are all related to the module at the interior rear view mirror, which contains the mirror, auto dimming sensors and controls, rain sensor, SOS button, telephone microphone and, if equipped, cameras for high beam assist, speed limit sign reading and a crapload of other things.
Maybe you just have a flaky or loose connection to that whole module? Disassembled anything to check? Was that Gentex 026662 mirror a retrofit or the factory option? |

I have double checked everything. I have an appointment at the dealer to have the programming checked out. I have read that a bad coding could have caused the issue so maybe if I get the car recoded to stock from the dealer I can clear all the faults.
