MSDs for NY license holders
I just learned that NY license holders cannot put MSDs even if they lease the car outside NY state
Now my only option to save is on European Delivery. |

I live in NYC and have a NY State license and registration. I did Euro Delivery of a 5 series in September 2010 through Passport BMW outside of Washington, DC, and I was able to do MSDs.

how does that work.. why would you want to put down multiple security deposits? are talking just cash deposits and would it make a difference if it a large one time security deposit

they makes very little sense to me.. why would you qualify for a lower rate.. only because of some security deposits that you put down which were then refunded to you.. thats only if you have bad credit im assuming otherwise you qualify for the current standard 0.9% for 36 months..

Financially it makes a lot of sense. MSD reduces your monthly lease payment. If you take those savings over the life of the lease and calculate a return on investment for your deposit it can (depending on the exact amount involved) approach 10% annually. Tax free. Show me another cash investment with a return like that.

If one has bad credit, he won't qualify for a lease or will be offered an unimaginable lease rate ! |
