I bought a CPO 2012 528i not too long ago and I've been researching in hopes to get Korean to natively display on iDrive. From what I've found, if you do install it natively, you will lose navigation. After much thinking, I decided that it was not a good option for me. My car did come with BMW Apps and such... so I found a good deal on a BMW iPhone Media Cradle and bought it... to at least make my songs show up in Korean. From what I hear, split screen is not supported when you are using the iPod interface (which sucks).

Unfortunately, I do not own any old iPod with iOS that has a 30 pin connector. I do own an iPod nano and an iPod Classic along with an iPhone 5 with iOS7 (I'm a dev). I did some research on connectivity via 30 pin to lightning to see if I can get the Plug-In feature to work... and unfortunately it didn't. The phone does charge and I can access it via USB connection.

After much frustration, I ended up buying a used iPod touch 64gb (4th gen) on Amazon. Although I wanted to get an iPhone 4 or something, for its purpose it was just too much money...

I am aware that it isn't a perfect fit, but I'm thinking I can attach something on it to make it stable.

Anyway, I am hearing that 2013+ F10s support unicode natively... which sucks.. because I would've just gotten a 2013 if I knew.

At one point, I am hoping to maybe upgrade to the new NBT.. if possible.

What is everyone else's experiences in trying to get Asian languages to display on a US F10?

I don't have a way to contradict your findings or fix the limitation.

In the meta data of your music collection, make sure the characters are truly unicode.
