Removing Lower Mesh (M Sport)
I want to paint my mesh gloss black but cannot figure out how to remove the air ducts in the middle lower portion of the M Sport bumper. Any tips? The center mesh over the IC comes right off but the sides do not.

I would imagine the bumper needs to be taken fully off?

You probably just need to grab the outer edges and give it a good yank. It helps if the bumper cover is warm... NOT HOT. I know that works for the trim around the fog/driving lights.

It snaps on from the back side, you can likely get it free from the cover with the cover in place but it will be difficult to get it through the opening.

So if I just pull straight out on the large center mesh portion, it will just come right out?

Here is a link to a site I frequent: https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/sho...diagId=51_7793 It should show you what I'm talking about; that's if we're even talking about the same thing. Are you talking about the part with number 6? |
