Hey guys...tough couple weeks here for my F10...not 100% sure..but possibly have a blown HG..anyone hear of this on N55 with 90k miles...I had smoke coming from car when started up lately..had oil on downpipe from when I changed to VC..thought it was burning off..but yestetday and today had white smoke coming from exhaust when hitting gas..almost threw up when I saw it....car hasn't overheated..and just pulled plugs..they are dry with just normal wear on them from having them in... coolant level is at minimum in reservoir..I just topped up now..what else could be causing this smoke??..oil just got changed exactly 105 miles ago

Several ways to go about making sure, but it should be based on.....data.

Running your engine hoping that it goes away should not be option 1.

A compression check is rather easy to do, but does involve pulling your spark plugs and a $15 compression gauge will do....

....or you can keep wondering (or hoping that it isn't).

Just had the plugs out, checked the combustion chamber with a bore scope, didn't find anything on either, didn't even think about a compression check, that's my next step, thanks guys!!..hopefully it's nothing to crazy

In person, it might be easier to diagnose, but here are some desktop diagnosis things to consider. Oil on the downpipe sounds independent of white smoke coming from the tailpipe. Oil in the downpipe could also signal something independent.

Have you also checked the coolant reservoir if you see floating oil?
White smoke could also mean condensation from the cold weather in the exhaust system.
Have you done the oil filter housing gasket, which I believe could cross oil and coolant?
Did you smell the oil to see if it smells sweet? You can unscrew the filter for this since it doesn't have a dipstick.

But.....since you are running Pure Stg 2 with increased boost, it wouldn't be out of the question it's a head gasket. Compression test could help in this, but is not always certain.

Well, after confirming that it was not coolant in the oil and it was just oil getting into the exhaust, I have previously changed all gaskets and VC recently so that wasn't it.. I dropped the turbo and upon further investigation the shaft had a ton of in and out play it in, sent it to pure, they are inspecting it...waiting on them, turbo is less than 1 year old less than 6k miles on it..hopefully they do the right thing

Yea... went crazy chasing this down, even insalled an OCC and totally dismissed the turbo cause it was new...ended up being the PS2...anyways.. all the stuff I replaced was gonna have to be replaced sooner or later... glad its done now

There is no oil in the soda, nor is it burning oil.

My problem is a tak tak after 5 min from coldstat, but if you turn it a little bit, the noise goes away, even with the hood up. The noise seems to be coming from the oil filter holder.
