The M5 is the Ultimate Driving Machine: a few can afford it, the rest will keep talking about bad mpg. Pros: top power, richest options, good toy for ego. Cons: overpriced + high TCO, no AWD, weird DCT, outdated body design.
I would better go for MB E63 AMG S 4Matic. Sorry Last edited by valbmw; 07-14-2015 at 12:42 AM.. |

That's right, see my first line.
However everything is relative: the new rivals AMG and Audi RS7 are outperforming the old good BMW S63T, and the F10 body is great (probably the best) but unchanged since 2009. So-called LCI was actually a light facelifting, and M5 LCI doesn't exist at all. What makes me a bit relaxed, is MB is still boxy from outside and square inside, and Audi lives forever in the shape of 1998 C5 Avant. Let's see what comes as the BMW "next" G30 in 2016. Hope BMW will finally release a new engine, improve steering and put a decent transmission both auto and manual, not that weird robot. This is my own opinion, no way I insist on being Jeremy Clarkson or so) I would love to see BMW again making the best 4-door performance sedans. |
