Bluetooth Streaming Connectivity with Pro Nav ???

Hi, I have Pro Nav and BMW apps on my 2013 F11. I have looked at thread here so I have RTFM but cannot seem to find how I play music from my iPhone 6 bluetooth. IT all works fine via USB. I cannot see the option to allow music streaming.

I have paired and unpaired several times, still do not see the option. Either I do not have the ability to do this on my car - disappointing if so on a £50k list car when my GF's 10K Toyota Aygo can do so - or I am missing something!

Appreciate a pointer please guys?

How do you see the options specified on a car bought AUC from BMW please?

Hey,
Not quite sure which option(s) you need for bluetooth music but to find the options on the car you need a vin decoder. http://www.bmwvin.com/ and put in the last 7 digits of the vin. :P

I think once your phone is paired it is supposed to come up on the sources of music where you can choose AUX etc.

Think you need enhanced bluetooth to stream. Did on mine at least. Can be easily coded.

When you connect your phone via Bluetooth the music streaming is not automatically enabled if my memory serves me correctly. Find your phone in the Bluetooth devices list and select it you will then get a list of functions available via Bluetooth, select the music streaming option.

I think it can also be ticked via moving the iDrive controller twice to the right and scrolling through the options, not sure about this one though and can't check as I'm on holiday...

Yes EBT needed, which is an outrageous cost option on a 50k car, especially when people on here can code it aftermarket for free

Well, looks like I do not have Enh Bluetooth. I have ProNav, Connected Drive, Connected Apps and pretty much everything else. But no Enh Bluetooth after entering my VIN into the VIN decoder. So no Bluetooth streaming! BMW are taking the Michael frankly on a £50k loaded with options car. It is not like this needs HW to do that costs them money....

How annoying. My mates take the pi** out of me because their Mondeo's can do this on medium spec car! My good lady's Toyota Aygo Fire has this as standard!

I used it quite often to start with but prefer to use a cable now as it provides album artwork and full playlist control...

Well, I am not going to get bent out of shape about it and accept that it's no big deal to just plug the USB cable into the phone. That said, still somewhat annoying that when Bluetooth is provided as standard anyway this is not a standard option, or at least is bundled with the Pro Nav package! It's taking the pi** by BMW in my opinion.

I'll just live with it for now and learn the lesson! I'm off loading this car after winter in any event, possibly for a 535, and with Enh BT!

The thread has evolved to contain a lot of stuff but it is fundamentally easy to do. I added EBT to my previous F10 and current F31

True. Not everyone really wants to start messing with such fundamental stuff that could cause warranty issues.

I also keep a 128GB memory stick in the armrest loaded with just about my entire MP3 collection it is so much easier to use than using ebt the search is better and it shows cover art

Thanks - that's what I'm doing now too. Indeed, keep a 2.5inch SSD in there instead - works a treat!
