Transmission Slip??
My car is fairly stock. No tune so far.
I've been noticing a "slip" between gears when on an aggressive WOT situations and especially lately on auto kick down, it seems to slip. I'm pretty sure it's not the tires. Anyone else have this? I've got 5k left on factory warranty. I want to ensure BMW covers the tranny if there's something wrong. Aftermarket warranty may be a pain for claims.

Its not a transmission slip. Mine does the same thing. Feels like the car jerks a tiny bit in between shifts. its more noticeable in DS mode. Some people love it, some hate it.

transmission slipping when you request a kickdown (aggressive downshift) is a sign of a failing transmission. get it looked at while you still have warranty.
if its still working albeit not very well, keep doing kickdowns and full throttle upshifts until its on its last legs and bring it in. |
