So I have the park assist feature (part of the Driver Assistant Pkg) and I wanted to either wrap the side markers in vinyl or paint them shiny black. Nobody makes an after market trim piece for the cars with park assist.

Can I wrap or paint them? Will the park assist still be functional if I do?

I want to know too, my 550 has driving assist and I have a black camera on each fender and I have alpine white..

I am talking about the chrome piece that houses the side turn signal. Cars with the Driver Assitance Pkg have the Self Park Feature and the sensor is integrated with the chrome piece. I want to know if I can paint or vinyl the sensor gloss black without any interference. I assume it works just like the PDC but I want to be sure.

No idea whether paint or vinyl wrap would interfere, but you could always stick a bit of plastic insulating tape over it and, very cautiously try it out. If it still works, wrapping's your answer.
