Lost presets and multi function button memory
Went for a drive last night and noticed half on my preset radio stations were not on the screen anymore. Also noticed the multifunction buttons were mostly \"empty\". Some were left, so it\'s not like all the memory was erased. Any thoughts?

If you go to the profiles page in iDrive for the first time with your usual/regular key, you'll find an entry labeled "----" with a checkmark. This checkmark means "current key" and "----" stands for the yet unnamed profile (= all car settings) assigned to that key. It can be easily renamed from that menu page, i.e. using your first name or "main".
Then lock the car, put that "main" key far away from the car, get your second key and unlock the car with that one. Now you'll notice that in the profiles page, the checkmark has moved to a different "----" entry. You could now rename that entry as well (i.e. "wife"), or if you wish you can also transfer your "main" profile to that second key if you're the only driver. All options are in that iDrive menu page and IMHO quite straightforward. You can also save the profiles to an USB stick in the glovebox from there.
