The 540i rear looks like a Hyundai or a Volkswagen?

Driving on the 405 today and coincidently 3 white cars passed me and all sedans.
I couldn't help but notice the only separating the new rear look of the 540 was the diffuser.

Of course the 540 wanted to play, but that's another story...

The Hyunda Genesis next to it is actually a very good looking car and has great presence on the road.

The new 5 is not bad looking per se but I prefer the F10.

the G30 is decent but with the rights exterior mods i bet it'll look sweet! i'll wait a couple maybe even a few years before i even start to think about getting a G30. looks similar to the first car...Chrysler?

Looks like an more modern evolution to the F10. It's not a big difference, but the G30 looks a little sleeker.

Im starting to think it looks good every time I see it on the road. However, the rear is its biggest downfall.

I don't see myself in one though because I'd rather be in the new M760 anyway lol

The G30 certainly doesn't look as impressive as the F10. The F10 has a somewhat distinguished look, and it looks like it's built like a tank. The G30 doesn't look very special or solid (front, side, or rear) - seems like many other cars. I find that it actually looks worse in person than in pictures.

It's a very good car (other than the A/C and a couple of other things), and the looks don't matter that much, but I think BMW should have come up with a more impressive exterior design.

+1. Honestly I find myself looking at the Genesis a second time when I catch one going down on the road. It really is a good looking vehicle.

I wish they hadn't messed too much with the new 5's front end. The F10 especially with Lighting package had a beautiful face...but times a changin' I guess!

Genesis and new 5 look nothing alike, except they have 4 doors and wheels.
Interior though is another story, they blatantly copied many of BMW's designs.

Funny because the Genesis always has me do a double take. I mistake it for a Bentley or Jag kinda. Its always something I just can't put my finger on right away and then upon closer inspection it becomes apparent. Then when I saw them side by side I had to take that photo.

Not to me, but I do think that is their goal.

Just means BMW is gonna have to step up their game to keep ahead of the copy-cats.

Worse, if ownership value decreases even more, BMW may fade into history.
